Preserving Heritage, Inspiring Communities
INTRODUCTION
At Tanzania Heritage Pro Development Organization (TAHEDO), we implement projects and programs that promote heritage conservation, education, community engagement, research, and cultural awareness across Tanzania. Through partnerships and community participation, we work to safeguard cultural heritage for present and future generations.

FEATURED PROJECT
Heritage Conservation and Documentation Program (2021) Status: Completed
In partnership with the National Museum of Tanzania, TAHEDO conducted conservation, documentation, and awareness activities across heritage sites in Kigamboni District, including Kimbiji, Bandarini, Mbwa Maji, Mji Mwema, and Visikini.
Key Achievements:
• Heritage site documentation
• Environmental clean-up activities
• Community engagement and awareness
• Conservation recommendations developed





PAMOJA TUNAWEZA: Albinism Awareness Art Exhibition (2023) Status: Completed
Organized in collaboration with the National Museum of Tanzania and Pamoja Tunaweza, this exhibition promoted awareness, inclusion, and social dialogue through art, poetry, film, and cultural expression.
Impact:
• Nearly 100 participants engaged
• 15 artists showcased their work
• Increased public awareness on albinism inclusion





ONGOING PROGRAMS
Heritage Awareness Campaigns Status: Ongoing
TAHEDO conducts awareness activities in schools and communities to promote understanding and appreciation of Tanzania’s cultural heritage.

The organization works with local stakeholders to support monitoring, maintenance, and protection of heritage sites through sustainable and community-driven conservation efforts.
